Acquire theoretical knowledge related to the elements musical notation. Auditory identification of elements present in the musical work (rhythmic melodic, harmonic, formal); Carry out reading of melodic and rhythmic passages according to with the degree of difficulty established.

Syllabus:

Reproduction, auditory identification and reading of simple rhythmic cells in binary and ternary division of time. Auditory identification of different sound organizations in both Major and Minor modes. To understand the relations between tonic and dominant in tonal context.

Demonstration of the Articulation of the Programme Contents with the Objectives of the C.U.

The contents worked out to meet the objectives proposed by aiming at understanding the basic concepts of music theory and the skills needed to sing / perform melodies and simple rhythms and to associate the visual component of music (score) with the sound component.

The teaching methodology is based on systematic and organized presentation of information by the teacher, complemented with its study and the approach to the exercises and activities realized in class, as specified in the C.U. objectives. Demonstration of the Articulation of the Teaching Methodologies with the Learning Objectives of the C.U.:

The technical and musical work developed will allow the acquisition and / or development of the competences defined for the UC, which in turn will provide a better understanding of the musical text. Emphasis is placed on the practical component in direct relation to the theory, in order to allow the development of students' competences, to the level of auditory sensorial recognition, reading and comprehension of the musical text, according to the objectives of the UC. The individual and collective musical practice as well as guided listening will facilitate the acquisition and / or development of the competencies defined for the UC.
