Learning Outcomes (knowledge, aptitudes and skills to be developed by the students)

Recognize simple musical forms from the Classic, Romantic period up to the present time. To be able to follow a score (solo, chamber music or classical orchestra) Identify measures and tempo and tonality Recognize different musical textures: counterpoint, accompanied melody, homophony, etc.

Syllabus:

Formal segmentation of works from the different periods mentioned above for various instrumental formations. Elaboration of formal plans (several models) of works to work in class. Listening analysis work. Writing of small exercises in the style of the periods studied.

Demonstration of the Articulation of the Programme Contents with the Objectives of the C.U.

Being the objective of the UC the acquisition of knowledge and skills so that the student can intervene in a diversity of musical artistic contexts, the indicated program contents are selected in order to fill the scope of the subjects involved.

Teaching and Evaluation Methods:

Class. The teaching methodology is based on systematic and organized presentation of information through questioning, critical analysis and research suggested by the teacher, complemented with its study and discussion, and with guidance and supervision of the knowledge and skills acquisition process, as specified in the C.U. objectives The evaluation process is based on observation of the quality of participation in the activities developed during the course, including presentations and discussion of assignments, other tests or exams, verifying the level of the acquired knowledge and skills as specified in the C.U. objectives. CONTINUOUS ASSESSMENT AF = T1x0.5 + T2x0.5 AF Final Evaluation; T1 Test 1; T2 Test 2. Maximum absences to obtain proficiency in continuous assessment: 3 (except student workers). Students who have not completed the Continuous Assessment or fail due to absences may present the Exam in the Normal Season and if they fail, they may still be present at the Appeal Time. Students who have failed the Continuous Assessment may take the Exam only at the Appeal Time.

Demonstration of the Articulation of the Teaching Methodologies with the Learning Objectives of the C.U.:

The coherence of the teaching methodologies with the learning objectives is assessed through the student's performance and evolution in the classes, in the presentations of tests and / or exams.
