Command of harmonization with voicing 1 + 5 | 3 + 7 + 10 in any melodic and harmonic minor scale.Harmonizingvoicing 'so what'inany melodic and harmonic minor scale.Harmonize withquatriadsincloseposition in all inversionsinany melodic and harmonic minor scale.Control in playing quatriads inadiatoniccycle of fifths with voice-leadinginanykey.Mastery in playing quatriads sequencesinvolving secondary dominant, in any key.Command in playing themes fromthe repertory in position 1 + 5 | 3 + 7 + melody.Control thepreparation andplayingof originalthemesand arrangements of the Jazz repertoire including all available techniques.

Syllabus:

Intermediate principles of harmonic analysis of chord-scale and re-harmonizing of melody notes; melodic minor scale and harmonic minor scale; voicings 1 + 5, 3 + 7 + 3 and 'so what'; harmonization of melodies in four-way closed; drops principles and their application to different contexts and registers; by fourths voicings; clusters.

Demonstration of the Articulation of the Programme Contents with the Objectives of the C.U.

Since the objective of this C.U. is the acquisition of knowledge and skills so that the student can intervene in a variety of artistic and musical contexts, the syllabus indicated is selected in order to meet the scope of the issues involved.

Teaching and Evaluation Methods:

The teaching methodology is based on systematic and organized presentation of information through questioning, critical analysis and research suggested by the teacher, complemented with its study and discussion applied to the study of different Jazz harmonic techniques, under the guidance and supervision of the teacher in order to ensure knowledge and skills acquisition process, as specified in the C.U. objectives - The evaluation process is based on observation of the quality of participation in the activities developed during the course, including preparation for class, assignments presentations and other tests or exams, verifying the level of the acquired knowledge and skills as specified in the C.U. objectives

Demonstration of the Articulation of the Teaching Methodologies with the Learning Objectives of the C.U.:

The coherence between the teaching methodologies with the learning objectives is assessed and demonstrated by the very nature of the performance and progress of students in classes, presentations, papers and exams.
