Celebrating its tenth anniversary, the ESMAE/ESML (Porto and Lisbon Colleges of Music) 2013 Early Music Course will take place in the beautiful National Palace in Mafra, Portugal. This magnificent monument, the greatest exponent of portuguese baroque architecture, will host five days entirely devoted to music from the XVI to the XVIII century. We are sure that course participants will have a unique artistic and learning experience.
Organ classes will take place in the palace’s Basilica on the six magnificent historical instruments built in 1807 by Joaquim António Peres Fontanes and António Xavier Machado e Cerveira. Apart from solo repertoire, works for two, four or six organs will be approached.
