Auditório Vianna da Motta - 7 e 8 de junho , 17h

A Orquestra de Sopros da ESML apresenta o seu já habitual concerto "Sons Ibéricos" na sua quinta edição, onde serão ouvidas obras de jovens compositores portugueses, neste caso já licenciados pela ESML, sendo também apresentada uma obra do compositor valenciano Jesus Santandreu, já apresentado em anteriores edições destes concertos.

Do programa destacam-se a estreia absoluta da obra de Nuno da Rocha,  "Philippina" - duplo concerto para Trompete, Acordeão e Orquestra de Sopros, na qual serão solistas Marco Silva (Trompete) e João Barradas (Acordeão), e a segunda audição da obra de Gonçalo Gato, "A Vida é nossa", a qual recebeu recentemente uma mensão honrosa no Concurso de composição da Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa.

A completar o programa será apresentada a obra de Jesus Santandreu, "Velo de Isis".

Luís Madureira e Jeff Cohen oferecem um recital para vozes e piano, concebido a partir da série de poemas "Lex Icon", de Salette Tavares.

Serão executadas obras inéditas escritas para Luís Madureira por vários compositores, explorando as potencialidades sonoras da escrita de Salette Tavares e a criatividade dos intérpretes, habitualmente confrontados com um tratamento particular da palavra e com a sua apresentação cénica.

BIOGRAFIA:

MURAT GUREL
He was born in Elazig in 1987. At the age of 5 he was assigned as a member of children choir (Turkish Classical Music) and percussion instruments player of Denizli Municipality Conservatory. He took his first music lessons from his father.
Between 2000-2004 he took theoretical-solfege-singing lessons from Erdinc CELIKKOL who is in Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory Turkish Classical Music and in the same years he started to take violin lessons given in the Conservatory.
He entered Music Education Department of Bursa, Uludag University Faculty of Education in 2005. Between the years 2005 -2009 while he was studying violin (Classical music), with his own efforts he continued to play violine in Turkish Music style.
In 2009, he started his post graduate education in Ankara, Gazi University, Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Fine Arts, Music Education Branch. Here he began to took lessons of modal analysis of songs and style of Turkish Music from Prof. Phd. Gulcin Yahya Kacar. He completed his post graduate courses stage. “Preparation of Application Formats and Exercises According to These Formats in Violin Education Through Musical Ornaments Techniques in Turkish Music” is his post graduate thesis topic.
In 2012 He started his Phd. education in Gazi University, Institute of Fine Arts, Turkish Music Branch. Presentyl He is studying on “Nubar TEKYAY” (The Best Violin Player lived in Turkey in 1905-1955 ) violin performing style within his Phd. education.
He gave several concerts with Gulcin YAHYA KACAR Ensemble in Ankara, Bursa, Istanbul and South Korea/Seul and with Gazi University Turkish Music State Conservatory Ensemble which is coorditane by Prof. Phd. Gulcin Yahya Kacar in Macedonia, Romania, Berlin/Germany, Bejing/China, Shanghai/China.
He gave several seminar about Classical Turkish Music Style Violin Performing and Theoretical Turkish Music in Ankara, Gazi University. He attended national symposium in Turkey and international symposium in London, Liverpool/England.
In 2013, He did workshop on violin within “Turkish Cultural Year in China 2013” in China Conservatory, Bejing/China. He gave radio concerts with violin on the T.R.T. Ankara Radio.
Presently he is working in Gazi University Turkish Music State Conservatory, Department of Instrument Education (Turkish Music Style Violin) as lecturer. He give Intrument Education I-II-III-IV and Theoretical Turkish Music III-IV-V-VI lessons.

BIOGRAFIA:

Jad Azkoul was born in New York when his father was representing Lebanon to the United Nations. In high school and university he played the electric guitar, and turned to full time music study only after doing a BA and MA in experimental psychology at the American University of Beirut. There followed ten years of intensive study, first in Boston for two years of jazz studies, and then five in Paris in guitar and composition, with such greats as Nadia Boulanger and Pierre Petit.

The last three years were spent in Montevideo, Uruguay, where he was invited to study the new school of guitar developed by the virtuoso guitarist and composer, Abel Carlevaro. The maestro was so impressed with his student that he later selected him as one of his privileged teaching assistants.

He has since developed a career as a performer and teacher of the classical guitar, and gives Masterclasses in many countries of the world. The prestigious American String Teachers Association (ASTA), for example, invited him on more than one occasion to serve as their exclusive guitar clinician at their national conventions. He has also been invited to adjudicate at several international guitar competitions.

He has been giving annual Master classes in France since 1985, and now conducts 2 summer workshops/Masterclasses in France every year.

There are two CDs that were recorded for the French label Forlane and which have been highly acclaimed. They are available on Spotify, iTunes, and Amazon, as well as many other internet sites.

5ª Festa dos Coros

31 de Maio (Sábado) | 17h00 | Grande Auditório

A Festa dos Coros 2014 reunirá cerca de 130 cantores que apresentarão um programa variado. Em destaque estará a estreia absoluta da obra "De profundis" de António Pinho Vargas.

O Coro convidado para esta edição será o Musaico, dirigido por Tiago Marques. A ele se juntarão também alunos de mestrado que dirigirão os coros da ESML em diversas formações.
